Custom-built specifically for Maple-Vail’s efficient distribution system, our facilities in York, Lebanon and Mount Joy, Pennsylvania provide a wide range of services. These include receiving, racked storage, pick-and-pack, drop and bulk shipping, individual cartoning, lettershop capabilities, and returns processing.

All Maple-Vail Distribution Centers are strategically located near main trucking routes and bulk mail centers to minimize transportation and mailing costs. In excess of 40 million books, videos, and book-related products can be safely and securely stored in these modern facilities, which together comprise over 440,000 square feet.

The York Distribution Center is located one-half mile from Interstate 83, adjacent to the Maple Press book manufacturing plant. The Lebanon Distribution Center is just off Interstate 78 near the junction of Interstate 81, and the newly constructed Mount Joy Distribution Center is only minutes from PA Routes 283. The close proximity of these facilities helps to shorten the time to market for publishers and reduce the delivered cost of products.

Our Distribution Centers pride themselves on the speed and accuracy of shipments combined with outstanding inventory control. Over 95% of our orders ship within 48 hours, with the vast majority of these shipping in a day or less. A barcode system enables us to track product from receipt through shipment resulting in an inventory accuracy rate exceeding 99.5%. T-1 communication lines allow the quick and accurate transmission of information. Our barcode system performs the following functions:
